COUNTER TERRORISM TASK FORCE MEETING HELD IN THE BIH PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE

Acting Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, Milanko Kajganić, chaired a meeting of the Counter Terrorism Task Force, which was attended by top officials of judicial, police, security and law enforcement agencies from Bosnia and Herzegovina, both entities and Brčko District of BiH.

The central topics were the activities of institutions in detection and criminal prosecution of terrorist acts, as well as all phenomena that may be associated with the dangers of terrorist activities.

The meeting participants also discussed recent security threats, which have been received in several schools, police stations and institutions in all parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as joint activities of the BiH institutions in detecting, locating and prosecuting perpetrators of these illegal activities, as well as eliminating terrorist threats, which affect the security and cause material and non-material damage to citizens and institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

 

One of the conclusions of the meeting is to initiate the necessary amendments of certain bylaws and laws with the competent executive and legislative authorities as to enable the institutions to effectively combat terrorist activities, including easier identification of persons who pose security threats to institutions and facilities.
