The accused is charged with having, in December 2020, in the apartment he used in Banja Luka, used appropriate equipment to make a large number of counterfeit banknotes in denominations of 10, 50 and 100 BAM, in order to put the money into circulation as genuine.

During the search of the apartment by the police officers of the Banja Luka Police Station, items used to commit the criminal offense were found, namely equipment and materials used to make counterfeit banknotes, as well as a certain amount of counterfeit banknotes.

 

According to the indictment, one of the counterfeit banknotes of the same serial number and method of production, which was found during the search of the apartment on 16 December 2020 was put into circulation when paying for fuel at the gas station in Banja Luka, after which the worker, doubting the correctness of the banknote, voluntarily handed it over to the police officers.

 

The accused is charged with making counterfeit money with the aim of putting it into circulation as genuine, thus committing the criminal offense of Counterfeiting of Money under Article 205, Paragraph 1 of the CC BiH.

 

The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
