APPEAL OF THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BiH ACCEPTED AND CUSTODY FOR SUSPECT DRAGAN ŠOJIĆ ORDERED
31.05.2022. 10:32 The Appellate Panel of the Court of BiH accepted the appeal of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH in its entirety and changed the first instance decision thus accepting the motion of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH to order custody for the suspect for a period of one month.
By filing an appeal, the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH considered that only the measure of remand in custody could ensure a smooth conduct of the proceedings and the completion of the investigation.
Remand in custody for the said suspect was ordered due to reasons prescribed by Article 132, paragraph 1, items a) and b) of the CPC of BiH, i.e. due to risk of flight, as well as the risk that the suspect could obstruct the investigation, conceal evidence and exert influence on witnesses or accomplices.
