  • PERSON ACCUSED OF WAR CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY COMMITTED IN FOČA AREA ENTERS INTO PLEA AGREEMENT ADMITTING HIS GUILT

By this Plea Agreement, the accused has fully admitted his participation in the committed crime, and he has waived his right to a trial and the right to appeal the Judgment handed down to him by the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the basis of the Plea Agreement, whereby he has brought about the speeding up of the process.

Prior to concluding the aforementioned Plea Agreement, the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina discussed the matter with the injured parties, and they pointed out that they wanted the accused to be held accountable for the crimes committed and they gave their consent to concluding the Plea Agreement.

After deliberation, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina accepted the Plea Agreement and sentenced the accused to eight (8) years in prison, which sentence was combined with the existing earlier sentence that the accused is currently serving; accordingly, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina handed down a single sentence of twenty (20) years of prison.
