ON ORDER OF THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH, POLICE OFFICERS OF THE RS MINISTRY OF INTERIOR DEPRIVED SEVERAL PERSONS SUSPECTED OF ORGANISED CRIME OF THEIR FREEDOM

Police officers of the RS Ministry of Interior deprived several suspects of their freedom in the area of Banja Luka.
  • ON ORDER OF THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH, POLICE OFFICERS OF THE RS MINISTRY OF INTERIOR DEPRIVED SEVERAL PERSONS SUSPECTED OF ORGANISED CRIME OF THEIR FREEDOM

The prosecutor of the Special Department for Organised Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption, who works in the cases code-named “Transporter” and “Storage”, coordinated the activities with the police officers who worked in the field.

These are the persons suspected of having committed several serious criminal offences, including illicit trafficking in large quantities of the narcotic drug “cocaine” and participation in the ordered murder of one person that took place in Banja Luka and that was carried out in the manner of organised executions between members of organised crime groups.

Also, the suspects can be connected with the persons who ordered the aggravated murder of the head of the Prijedor criminal police, Radenko Bašić, and those who took part in it.

Under high security measures, the suspects will be handed over to the prosecutor working on the case within the next 24 hours, who will interrogate the suspects and make a decision on further activities.

The operation code-named “Transporter” was launched in the autumn of 2021, it is being implemented with partner prosecutorial and police institutions in BiH, both in the region and abroad, and is aimed at prosecuting several persons suspected of organised crime related to several serious crimes including murders, smuggling of large amounts of narcotic drugs, money laundering and other criminal offences.
