MEETING OF OFFICIALS OF THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH AND THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE FOR WAR CRIMES OF SERBIA
05.04.2022. 14:16A working meeting of the Acting Chief Prosecutor Milanko Kajganić and officials of the Special Department for War Crimes, with the Chief Prosecutor Snežana Stanojković and officials of the War Crimes Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Serbia was held in the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.
The main topics of the meeting were work on cases in which the two prosecutor’s offices, in accordance with memoranda and protocols on cooperation, achieve joint cooperation and exchange of information in the criminal prosecution of war crimes cases.
The meeting parties discussed topics related to the joint cooperation of the prosecutor’s offices, in the fight against impunity for war crimes, as well as current cases in progress, in which mutual assistance was requested in certain procedural actions.Also, the status and stages of criminal proceedings in cases transferred from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Republic of Serbia and vice versa were discussed.
It was concluded at the meeting that prosecutorial cooperation must continue intensively in the future, with the coordination and participation of the Chief Prosecutor of the IRMCT Serge Brammertz, as a joint effort in the fight against impunity for war crimes.
