CUSTODY PROPOSED FOR 13 PERSONS SUSPECTED OF ORGANIZED CRIME RELATED TO SMUGGLING OF DRUGS AND WEAPONS

In the action codenamed "Path", the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina will, within the legally prescribed time limit, send a proposal for ordering the measure of custody in relation to thirteen (13) suspects.
  • CUSTODY PROPOSED FOR 13 PERSONS SUSPECTED OF ORGANIZED CRIME RELATED TO SMUGGLING OF DRUGS AND WEAPONS

Custody measure will be proposed for the reasons as stipulated in Article 132, paragraph 1, items a) and b) of the Criminal Procedure Code (CPC) of Bosnia and Herzegovina, that is, due to the risk of the suspects’ flight and the danger that, if at large, they may hinder the inquiry, conceal evidence and influence witnesses or accomplices.

In this case, the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has achieved significant international cooperation in detecting and identifying members of an organized criminal group, and international cooperation will continue in the period to follow, with the aim of identifying all persons involved in illegal activities.

These suspects are charged with organized crime, illicit trafficking in large quantities of narcotic drugs, illegal procurement of specialist equipment for the cultivation of narcotics, as well as illegal trafficking in arms, military equipment and products of dual use.

Also, evidence was collected that these suspects are members of an organized criminal group and that they are associated with organized criminal groups operating in neighbouring countries and with the commission of serious crimes, as well as that they are endangering security in the region.

Custody will be proposed for the following suspects:

1.      Mišo Miljanić, aka “Platina”, born in 1986 in Trebinje

2.      Milijan Mijović, aka “Gluvi”, born in 1985 in Trebinje

3.      Milan Rašević, aka “Mića”, born in 1996 in Srbinje / Foča

4.      Tomislav Petrović, aka ”Tomo”, born in 1988 in Sarajevo

5.      Vladan Kovačević, born in 1989 in Foča

6.      Anđelko Milošević, aka “Ciri”, “Kirofa”, “Medo” or “Glavonja”, born in 1975 in Trebinje

7.      Milan Mićanović, aka “Limun”, born in 1984 in Trebinje

8.      Aleksa Mališ, born in 1998 in Trebinje

9.      Nemanja Prnjat, aka “Neno”, born in 1991 in Trebinje

10.  Dušan Mićanović, born in 1992 in Trebinje

11.  Rajko Grubač, aka “Gruba”, born in 1992 in Foča

12.  Milad Jerković, born in 1982 in Trebinje

13.  Miloš Kovačević, born in 1989 in Trebinje.
