PROSECUTOR OF BIH PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE COORDINATES ACTIVITIES OF POLICE OFFICERS IN HUMAN TRAFFICKING CASE
27.01.2022. 15:13This is a very sensitive case in which the identified victims are minors coming from the migrant population, who reside in Bosnia and Herzegovina and who are particularly vulnerable due to the situation in which they find themselves; accordingly, pursuant to the instructions given by the Prosecutor in charge of this case, they have been placed in adequate facilities that offer protection to the victims, so that proper protection will be provided for them.
The suspected perpetrators are also from the migrant population residing in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
After conducting investigative actions and questioning the suspects, the Prosecutor in charge of this case will make a decision on further activities regarding the suspects.
The investigation is continuing intensively, with the aim of determining all the circumstances surrounding the commission of this serious criminal offence related to human trafficking.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
