INDICTMENT ISSUED FOR CORRUPTIVE CRIMINAL OFFENSES AGAINST EIGHT PERSONS

 Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH issued, and the Court of BiH confirmed, an indictment against:
  • INDICTMENT ISSUED FOR CORRUPTIVE CRIMINAL OFFENSES AGAINST EIGHT PERSONS

  - Goran Milošević, born in 1973 in Bileća, a citizen of BiH, a police officer of the BiH Border Police,

- Svetozar Kašiković, born in 1983 in Trebinje, a citizen of BiH, a police officer of the BiH Border Police,

 

- Vladislav Pravica, born in 1972 in Trebinje, a citizen of BiH and the Republic of Serbia, a police officer of the BiH Border Police,

 

- Milorad Rogač, born in 1966 in Foča, citizen of the Republic of Montenegro,

 

- Darko Đurica, born in 1982 in Stolac, a citizen of BiH,

 

- Zoran Rogač, born in 1957 in Bileća, a citizen of BiH,

 

- Goran Svorcan, born in 1969 in Bileća, a citizen of BiH, and

 

- Aleksandar Milinić, born in 1991 in Trebinje, a citizen of BiH.

 

The accused are charged with having, in the period from December 2020 to mid-April 2021, become members of a group of people with the aim of committing the criminal offenses of smuggling, illicit trade in excise products, and giving gifts and other forms of benefits i.e. elements of corruptive criminal offenses, and evading customs control measures while transferring excise products across the state border, the import of which is prohibited i.e. requires special approval, in order to place the excise products that are not marked with BiH stamps on the market.

 

According to the indictment, each of the members of the group had a specific role - the accused Goran Milošević, Svetozar Kašiković and Vladislav Pravica, in their capacity as police officers of the BiH Border Police, received gifts and other forms of benefits not to perform tasks that they should have performed thus enabling the other accused to transport across the state border larger quantities of excise products-cigarettes, which were not marked with excise stamps of BiH with the aim of placing them on the market in the territory of BiH.

 

The accused Goran Milošević, is accused of having in his capacity of a member of the BiH Border Police, provided services of escort and directing movement in the border zone and with handing over inappropriate license plates to other members of the group. In addition to this role, the authorized officers enabled a number of different persons to illegally cross the state border at the entrance to BiH and at the exit from BiH, without performing border control and checks, thus gaining property in amounts known to them.
