OPERATION COUNTERING ORGANIZED CRIME AND ILLICIT TRAFFICKING IN NARCOTIC DRUGS CARRIED OUT ON ORDER OF BIH PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE
03.11.2021. 11:11Along with SIPA police officers, on the order of a Prosecutor from the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, police officers of the Republika Srpska Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of the Interior of the Central Bosnia Canton are also active in the field, and searches and deprivations of liberty are being carried out in the municipalities of Kiseljak and Foča.
Persons thus deprived of their liberty will be handed over to the Prosecutor in charge of the case within the legally prescribed time limit, and the Prosecutor will interrogate the suspects and subsequently make a decision regarding the further activities in this case.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
