20.09.2021. 18:07Regarding several media inquiries about the activities of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH regarding the appearance of an illegally taped recording of the meeting of Chief Prosecutor Gordana Tadić, we can confirm that the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH has received two criminal charges against the Director of Intelligence and Security Agency of BiH for several criminal offences that include abuse of office or authority, obstruction of justice, blackmail and other illegal acts.
The criminal reports also state the illegality of using the Agency’s financial resources, as well as the illegal conduct and taking of measures and actions of monitoring and supervision against individual persons.
Based on the criminal reports, the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH formed two cases that were assigned to cases’ prosecutors in the Special Department for Organised Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption.
Also, within the case, the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, together with partner institutions, will take all necessary activities to clarify all the circumstances of the said event and verify the allegations stated in the criminal reports.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
