CHIEF PROSECUTOR MEETS WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF UNOCT - GLOBAL PROGRAMME FOR COUNTERING TERRORISM FINANCING
11.08.2021. 15:09The Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Gordana Tadić, together with the Head of Terrorism Section, Ćazim Hasanspahić and associates, met with officials of the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism and Global Programme for Countering the Financing of Terrorism, Daniel Stonecipher and Kamalan Anwar.
The Chief Prosecutor presented the work and activities of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH in the field of countering terrorism. She especially pointed out the significant results in filing indictments in this area, as well as the work and activities within the Task Force for Fight against Terrorism, with the aim of strengthening the rule of law and security of citizens in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The prosecutors within the Terrorism Section of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH actively participate in international operations and have good cooperation with partner countries in the fight against the threat of terrorism, which is a global threat.
The meeting also discussed the possibilities of cooperation of the Global Programme on Countering the Financing of Terrorism with the institutions of BiH, i.e. the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, in terms of strengthening capacities in this area. The participants in the meeting agreed that global cooperation is necessary for countering terrorism and terrorist financing, and that they are ready for cooperation in the future.
