THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH APPEALED THE DECISION NOT TO ORDER CUSTODY TO THE SUSPECT OSMAN MEHMEDAGIĆ
19.07.2021. 13:29The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has, within the legal deadline, filed an appeal against the decision of the Court of BiH not to order custody for the suspect Osman Mehmedagić.
The appeal was filed due to erroneous and incompletely established state of facts in relation to the motion of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.
By filing an appeal, the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH deems that only the measure of order in custody can ensure a smooth conduct of the proceedings and completion of the investigation.
An appeal, in relation to the suspect Denis Prcić, was also filed earlier and within the legal deadline.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
