DUTY PROSECUTOR ORDERED SEIZURE OF A LARGER AMOUNT OF NARCOTIC DRUGS AND CONDUCTING OF NECESSARY INVESTIGATIVE ACTIONS

The duty prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH was informed by authorised officers of the Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA) of BiH that about 37 kilos of the narcotic drug “marijuana” and 203.90 grams of the narcotic drug that by its appearance resembled the narcotic drug “hashish”, whose value on the illegal drug market in BiH is about BAM 225,000, were found at the border crossing point Deleuša during the inspection of the cargo part of the freight motor vehicle that transported goods from Montenegro to BiH.
After the duty prosecutor had given instructions, the drugs were seized and forfeited, and their composition will be determined through expert analysis. The items used to commit the criminal offence were found and seized.
The duty prosecutor ordered the police officers to take necessary investigative actions in order to document the criminal offence.
Officers of the Border Police of BiH provided support to the authorised officers of the ITA BiH.
The duty prosecutor is coordinating activities with the police officers who are carrying out searches, while further activities will be determined subsequently.
