INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST MONTENEGRIN CITIZEN FOR ILLICIT TRAFFICKING IN NARCOTIC DRUGS
17.05.2021. 09:32A Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has filed an Indictment against the following person:
- Aleksandar Adžić, born in 1985 in Plužine, a citizen of Montenegro.
The aforementioned accused is charged with entering Bosnia and Herzegovina from Montenegro in June 2019, where he procured a quantity of 10.015 kilograms of the “marijuana” narcotic drug from a person known to him, which he hid in several places in the car.
The drug was discovered during a control carried out by police officers of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the border zone between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, and it was seized together with a motor vehicle which was used for smuggling.
This accused person is charged with unauthorized international transfer of a substance or preparation which has been proclaimed a narcotic drug by regulation, thus committing the criminal offense of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs, referred to in Article 195, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Indictment has been forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
