AFTER MONTHS OF FLEEING, PERSON SUSPECTED OF COUNTERFEITING DOCUMENTS AND PCR TESTS FROM BANJA LUKA AREA DEPRIVED OF LIBERTY
04.05.2021. 16:14The Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption in charge of this case put forward a Motion with the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, seeking custody for the following person:
- Mihajlo Pavlović, born in 2001 in Banja Luka, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The suspect was deprived of liberty by police officers of the Banja Luka Intervention Unit of the Republika Srpska Ministry of the Interior, after he had been on the run in the territory of the Republic of Serbia for a longer period of time.
The aforementioned suspect is covered by the investigation of the Prosecutors Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republika Srpska Ministry of the Interior, which pertains to two suspects from the area of Banja Luka, who are charged with procuring technical equipment in an apartment in the area of Banja Luka and forging BAM banknotes, loan documents, documents for various purposes, as well as PCR tests for COVID 19 that are required for residence, travel and movement, thus greatly endangering the health and safety of citizens.
The suspects are under investigation due to the commission of the criminal offense of Counterfeiting of Money, referred to in Article 205 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the criminal offense of Forging Documents, referred to in Article 347 of the Criminal Code of Republika Srpska.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
