WITHIN THE STRATEGY FOR DEALING WITH PERSONS WHO COME INTO CONTACT WITH THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICES AS IMPLEMENTED BY THE HJPC BIH, AN INTERACTIVE MODULE ‘TO MAKE JUSTICE VISIBLE’ HAS BEEN DESIGNED
26.04.2021. 12:13The educational interactive module for journalists is based on the manual “To make justice visible” which was developed within the project “Strategy for dealing with persons who come into contact with Prosecutor’s Offices – Support to Prosecutor’s Offices in the implementation of the media component.” The project was implemented by the Mediacentar Foundation within the project “Support to the Judiciary in BiH – Strengthening of Prosecutorial Capacities in the Criminal Justice System” of the HJPC BiH, with the financial support from the governments of Switzerland and Norway.
The manual and the interactive educational module aim to educate journalists about reporting on court proceedings and the work of Prosecutor’s Offices in BiH and thus facilitate the monitoring of the work of judicial institutions.
The course consists of four modules covering content such as information on jurisdictions, key terms needed to properly understand prosecutorial actions, a reminder of Articles 10 and 11 of the Press Code, ethical standards for reporting about minors and vulnerable categories, a presentation of the relevant legal framework and other information.
