CHIEF PROSECUTOR HOLDS MEETING WITH OSCE MISSION OFFICIALS IN BIH
21.04.2021. 16:00Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Gordana Tadić, together with her Deputy and Head of the Special Department for War Crimes Milanko Kajganić and associates, held a meeting with Jasna Dobricik, Head of Human Dimension Department at OSCE Mission to BiH, and Michael Schuetz and Marko Webster from the Rule of Law Section of the OSCE Mission to BiH, who are engaged in monitoring and analysing the prosecution of war crimes cases.
One of the topics of the meeting was the implementation of the recommendations from the Judge Joanne Korner’s Report and the continuation of activities in this field.
The meeting discussed the activities being carried out in order to accelerate the implementation of the provisions of the Revised National War Crimes Strategy.
There was also discussion about the transfer of war crimes cases to the judicial institutions of both entities and the Brčko District, as well as about the status of cases with the standard marking “A”, which are a priority in the work plans of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.
In addition, the meeting discussed the manner of implementing the property claims of injured parties in criminal proceedings in war crimes cases.
The cooperation between the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and the OSCE Mission to BiH will continue in the coming period in both the field of prosecution of war crimes cases and in other segments in which the cooperation with this international institution is achieved.
