  • ACCUSED OF ILLEGAL TRAFFICKING IN NARCOTIC DRUGS ENTERS GUILTY PLEA AGREEMENT

After the indictment of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH was filed and confirmed, the accused Luka Mišević (1992) from Imotski, a citizen of the Republic of Croatia, in the presence of his counsel, fully pleaded guilty to the indictment filed against him by the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.

Pursuant to the agreement, the sentenced of four years in prison, as well as a fine in the amount of BAM 10,000, has been proposed for the accused.

In addition, the means and equipment used for the commission of the criminal offence will be confiscated from the accused, including a truck, mobile phones and technical means, the money found on him and confiscated from him, and the narcotic drug marijuana-skunk that was found and confiscated will be destroyed within a legal procedure.

By entering the guilty plea agreement, the accused, who is in custody, waives his right to a trial and the right to appeal the judgment imposed on him by the Court of BiH on the basis of the agreement.

The proposed sentence is in accordance with the role and responsibility of the accused in the commission of the criminal offence - illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs under Article 195 of the Criminal Code of BiH.

The accused Mišević was discovered and deprived of freedom at the Gradiška border crossing point, when he tried to smuggle about 109 kilograms of the narcotic drug marijuana – “skunk” from BiH to Croatia while driving a truck, in which he was prevented by members of the BiH Border Police.

The agreement has been forwarded to the Court of BiH.
