DENIAL BY THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA REGARDING THE WRITING OF VIJESTIBH AND VIJESTI.BA PORTALS
18.03.2021. 12:05The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina resolutely denies the writing of the journalist Dženana Karup-Druško, who is attempting to impute to the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina the case which is, according to the allegations in media, purportedly being prosecuted by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Doboj.
The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has good and active partner relations with all domestic and international institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Such malicious constructions originate from persons who are very close to, or employed in the offices of, the officials prosecuted by the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and they represent another in a series of pressures on the Chief Prosecutor, as well as on Prosecutors and employees of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Regardless of all the pressures, the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue working in accordance with the law and in the interest of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and such inappropriate pressures will not stop us from prosecuting illegalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
