INDICTMENT ISSUED FOR PREVENTING BiH AUTHORISED OFFICIALS - POLICE OFFICERS IN PERFORMING THEIR OFFICIAL ACTION
12.02.2021. 10:05A prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has filed an indictment against the accused:
- Srećko Victor Vrsalović, born in 1968 in Sarajevo, a citizen of BiH.
The accused is charged with swearing and threatening the police officers of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH, who worked on securing the facility near the building of the Presidency of BiH in Maršala Tita Street in Sarajevo.
Furthermore, the accused objected to the orders of the authorised officials – police officers, and physically attacked them damaging their police uniform, after which he was overpowered.
The accused is charged with forcibly preventing an official of BiH institutions from performing their official action, which the latter took within their powers, whereby he committed the criminal offence of Preventing an Official from Performing an Official Action under Article 241a of the Criminal Code of BiH.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
