BIH PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE AND POLICE AGENCIES CONTINUE INTENSIVE INVESTIGATION AGAINST PERSONS SUSPECTED OF COUNTERFEITING MONEY, PCR TESTS AND OTHER DOCUMENTS

The Duty Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has coordinated the activities during which a large amount of counterfeit money, PCR tests for Covid 19 and other documents have been discovered in the search of a facility in the area of Banja Luka.
Following the deprivation of liberty and the interrogation of the suspects, intensive investigative activities continue with the aim of determining all the circumstances of the committed criminal offence.
Given the danger of the Covid 19 pandemic, counterfeiting tests for this disease directly endangers the health of the population and poses a risk of spreading the infection.
The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, together with the Republika Srpska Ministry of the Interior and partner agencies and institutions, will conduct a detailed investigation in order to determine all the circumstances of the criminal offences committed.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
