The central topics of conversation were the cooperation between the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and the institutions of the Republic of Austria in the process of strengthening the rule of law.

The Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Gordana Tadić, met with the Police Attaché at the Embassy of the Republic of Austria to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr Karlheinz Gortano.

The meeting discussed the cooperation of partner prosecutorial and police institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Austria, especially in the segment of operational cooperation between institutions in the process of strengthening the rule of law.

One of the topics of the meeting was cooperation and exchange of experiences and good practices of Austria and BiH in the fight against terrorism, activities in the process of deradicalisation, fight against human trafficking and smuggling of persons, given that the institutions of the two countries have experience in this field.

Chief Prosecutor Tadić pointed out that the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH had good and open cooperation with partner institutions of Austria and that in the past several forms of cooperation had been implemented in both specific cases and in general in the field of strengthening the rule of law and security. She also noted that the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH was open for future cooperation.
