CHIEF PROSECUTOR PARTICIPATED IN STRATEGIC FORUM OF CHIEF PROSECUTORS AND DIRECTORS OF POLICE AGENCIES

The central topics at the meeting were the work of Prosecutor’s Offices and police agencies in difficult conditions due to the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as the handling of war crimes cases in line with the recently adopted Revised War Crimes Strategy.

The Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Gordana Tadić, participated in the Strategic Forum meeting held at the headquarters of the State Investigation and Protection Agency - SIPA, in compliance with all epidemiological measures.

The 19th meeting of the Strategic Forum was attended by heads of prosecutorial institutions and police agencies from the level of State of Bosnia and Herzegovina, both entities and the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The meeting was attended by the Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, Gordana Tadić, Acting Chief Prosecutor of the Federation of BiH, Tihomir Jurko, Chief Prosecutor of the RS Public Prosecutor’s Office, Mahmut Švraka, Chief Prosecutor of the Brčko District Prosecutor’s Office Zekerija Mujkanović, Director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency - SIPA, Darko Ćulum, Chief of Police of the Brčko District of BiH, Goran Pisić, Director of Police within the RS Ministry of Interior, Siniša Kostrešević, Chief Inspector of the Federation Police Administration, Mirko Kuprešaković, and representatives of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC) of BiH, Amila Rahić and Aleksandra Todorović.

During the meeting, they discussed the current situation regarding the difficulties in work during the COVID-19 pandemic, the improvement of work and cooperation between prosecutors and police agencies in prosecuting corruption and organised crime cases, as well as the handling of war crimes cases, in accordance with the recently adopted Revised War Crimes Strategy.

The organisation and holding of the Strategic Forum meeting is supported by the HJPC BiH within the project - Support to the Judiciary in Bosnia and Herzegovina - Strengthening the Prosecutorial Capacities in the Criminal Justice System.
