PROPOSAL OF PROHIBITING MEASURES FOR BORDER VETERINARY INSPECTORS SUSPECTED OF CORRUPTION CRIMES
29.09.2020. 15:30After interviewing the suspects, the case prosecutor of the Special Department for Organised Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption will submit to the Court of BiH a proposal of prohibiting measures for the suspects:

Indira Dajić-Hukić, born in 1967 in Brčko, employed as a border veterinary inspector of the Veterinary Office of BiH,
-
Ivo Kobaš, born in 1964 in Bosanski Šamac, employed as a border veterinary inspector of the Veterinary Office of BiH,
-
Mladen Mijić, born in 1959 in Bosanski Šamac, employed as a border veterinary inspector of the Veterinary Office of BiH.
The prohibiting measures include the removal of suspects from official premises and a ban of performing the activities of the Veterinary Office, as well as a ban of contacting and meeting with witnesses and suspects in the case.
These prohibiting measures will ensure the smooth conduct and completion of the investigation conducted by the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH together with partner agencies and institutions.
These veterinary inspectors are suspected of corruption criminal offences of abuse of office or authority, and receiving gifts or other forms of benefit.
The investigation in the case is being continued intensively.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
