INDICTMENT ISSUED FOR CRIMINAL OFFENCE OF VOTING FRAUD
17.07.2020. 13:43Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has issued an Indictment against the following person:
- Slobodan Lukić, born in 1962 in Brčko, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Indictment alleges that, during the 2018 General Elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina, while he was in his capacity of a member of the Polling Station Committee at the Krbeti Polling Station in the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the accused voted instead of other person and under other person’s name, by forging the signature of that person- voter under the number 165 who did not exercise his right to vote, and by signing the voter’s name and voting under his name.
The accused is charged with voting instead of other person and under other person’s name, during the elections for the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, whereby he committed the criminal offence of Voting Fraud, referred to in Article 152 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Indictment has been forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
