FOREIGN NATIONAL DEPRIVED OF LIBERTY IN PROZOR-RAMA AREA ON SUSPICION OF SMUGGLING OF ILLEGAL MIGRANTS
30.04.2020. 10:38The action was carried out by the police officers of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton Ministry of the Interior and SIPA Regional Office in Mostar, upon an Order issued by the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the suspect was handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he will be questioned and a motion for custody will be subsequently submitted.
Acting upon an order of the Duty Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, police officers of the SIPA Regional Office in Mostar deprived a Ukrainian national of his liberty in the area of Prozor-Rama, as he is suspected of the criminal offence of Smuggling of Persons.
The suspect was deprived of liberty when a vehicle he drove, which had several illegal migrants– nationals of Pakistan and Afghanistan in it, was stopped by a police patrol.
During the day, the suspect was handed over to the Duty Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who will question the suspect and subsequently submit a motion to order custody.
