BIH PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE FORMED A CASE AND ORDERED VERIFICATION OF ALL ALLEGATIONS PUBLISHED IN THE MEDIA ON RECRUITMENT OF THE SALAFI MOVEMENT MEMBERS FOR ARMS SMUGGLING IN BIH

Within the framework of the case in question the prosecution will examine all persons who made allegations and presented knowledge of the above-mentioned activities of which the Prosecutor’s Office was not informed nor were the events reported to the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.
Minister of Security of BiH, Dragan Mektić will be summoned and examined on all the details that he presented in statements for the media, of which the prosecutor’s office did not receive any information or report from the competent law enforcement agencies.
The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH is determined to combat all types of criminal offenses within its jurisdiction, especially criminal acts of a regional or international character that are related to the safety of BiH citizens.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
