INDICTMENT ISSUED FOR ILLICIT TRAFFICKING IN NARCOTIC DRUGS
08.02.2019. 14:58Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption has issued an Indictment against the following person:
- Namik Hasičević, former surname Karabeg, born in 1953 in Brčko, who is currently in custody.
The accused is charged with smuggling and sale of heroin and marijuana narcotic drugs together with several other persons known to him, in 2018, in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and Turkey, for the purpose of acquiring unlawful material gain.
The accused was deprived of liberty on November 15, 2018 in the area of Brčko, when about half a kilogram of heroin narcotic drug was seized, along with the money in the amount of EUR 11,000 which the accused had acquired from the sale of narcotic drugs.
The accused is charged with the commission of the criminal offence of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs, as referred to in Article 195 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the criminal offence of Enabling Another to Enjoy Narcotics, as referred to in Article 208 of the Criminal Code of Republika Srpska.
The Indictment has been forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
