ACTING CHIEF PROSECUTOR OF THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH GORDANA TADIĆ MET WITH THE CROATIAN AMBASSADOR TO BIH H.E. IVAN DEL VECHIO
09.08.2018. 12:16Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to BiH, H.E. Ivan Del Vechio visited the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH today to meet and discuss with the Acting Chief Prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office, Ms. Gordana Tadić.
The issues discussed at the meeting were the strengthening of the rule of law in BiH and the cooperation of judicial institutions in the region in the fight against all forms of crime.
Acting Chief Prosecutor Tadić and Ambassador Del Vechio emphasized that regional cooperation is the key and a very important segment in the fight against cross-border crime and the strengthening of the rule of law in the countries of the region, especially within the European integration process.
The BiH Prosecutor’s Office cooperates intensively with judicial institutions in the region, particularly in the segment of the fight against international trafficking in narcotic drugs and smuggling of illegal migrants and is working on several cases together with the colleagues from Croatia.
Meeting participants have also discussed the National War Crimes Strategy as an important document that underlines the segment of regional cooperation, which will assist in resolving war crimes cases.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
