BiH PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE FILES MOTION FOR CUSTODY AGAINST A SUSPECT DEPRIVED OF LIBERTY IN ACTION CODENAMED ’PETROL LINE’
19.07.2018. 14:54The suspect is charged with the criminal offence of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs, as referred to in Article 195, Paragraph 2, in conjunction with Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The measure of custody for a term of one month has been proposed against the suspect for the reasons set forth in Article 132, items a) and b) of the Criminal Procedure Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, namely, due to the risk of flight and the danger that, if at large, the suspect might hinder the inquiry, conceal evidence and influence witnesses or accessories. The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina continues its intensive investigation into this case.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
