ACTING CHIEF PROSECUTOR PRESENTED THE 2017 REPORT AT THE HIGH JUDICIAL AND PROSECUTORIAL COUNCIL (HJPC) OF BIH
09.07.2018. 18:14Acting Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH - Gordana Tadić, presented the Performance Report for 2017 to the members of the HJPC BiH.
The results of the Prosecutor’s Office for 2017 were presented for all cases within the jurisdiction of the Prosecutor’s Office including war crimes, organized crime, terrorism, financial crime, corruption and other criminal offenses.
Prosecutors of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH issued indictments in 187 cases against 366 accused persons and the quota achieved equaled 136.42%.
It was also highlighted that relocation to the new building of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, which provides proper capacities for the work of prosecutors, has commenced.
During the presentation participation of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH in international operations in the fight against cross-border and organized crime, in cooperation with the countries of the region, the EU and other countries, was emphasized as well as the work on activities related to the European integration process.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
