DELEGATION OF JUDGES FROM FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF GERMANY VISITED THE BiH PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE AND MET WITH ACTING CHIEF PROSECUTOR GORDANA TADIĆ
19.06.2018. 13:41During the study visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina and the judicial institutions of our country, the delegation of judges from the judicial system of the Federal Republic of Germany met with the Acting Chief Prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office Gordana Tadić and her associates.
Acting Chief Prosecutor, Gordana Tadić presented to the colleagues from Germany the organization of the judicial system of BiH and prosecutorial institutions in our country, the jurisdiction and internal organization of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, the results of the work, as well as the cooperation of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH with the countries of the region and the EU, EUROJUST and other institutions acting at international level.
The work and results of the institution in the past 15 years of existence, which have been achieved in the prosecution of war crimes cases, organized crime, financial and economic crime, terrorism, corruption and corruptive offences, illegal migration, international trafficking in narcotic drugs as well as other cases the prosecutors of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH have worked on were presented at the meeting.
Also presented was the information on activities and participation of the Prosecutor’s Office in international operations in the fight against cross-border crime, as well as activities undertaken by the BiH Prosecutor’s Office in the fight against terrorism and the threat of terrorism, illegal migration and trafficking in persons and all other crimes that threaten the rule of law and security of citizens.
The guests from the Federal Republic of Germany had the opportunity to ask representatives of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH about issues that are of interest to them and are within the domain of work of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and the judiciary of our country.
The visit of judges from Germany was organized at the initiative of the Supreme Federal Court of the Federal Republic of Germany, in cooperation with the German Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with which the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH has good, long-standing cooperation.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
