PROSECUTORS OF THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH MET WITH THE NEW MEMBER OF THE COLLEGIUM OF DIRECTORS OF THE BIH MISSING PERSONS INSTITUTE
10.04.2018. 14:30Nikola Perišić, a member of the Collegium of directors of the BiH Missing Persons Institute (MPI, paid his first visit since assuming duty to the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and met with the Acting Chief Prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office - Gordana Tadić, the Deputy Head of the Special Department for War Crimes - Izet Odobasic and the Head of Section in the in the SDWC - Stanko Blagic.
The process of searching, exhuming and identifying the missing persons in Bosnia and Herzegovina was discussed at the meeting
During the meeting an intensive operational level cooperation between the BiH Prosecutor’s Office and BiH MPI in these processes was agreed, with the belief that the search and identification of the missing persons would be expedited and improved, primarily for the sake of the families of victims who are still searching for their closest relatives.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
