MEETING OF THE OFFICIALS OF THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH AND PROSECUTORS FROM MONTENEGRO WITHIN THE REGIONAL COOPERATION STRENGTHENING PROJECT
03.04.2018. 13:43Acting Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH - Gordana Tadić and officials of the Special Department for War Crimes - Stanko Blagić and Izet Odobašić met with the Deputy Special Prosecutor of Montenegro - Lidija Vukčević and representatives of the UNDP project in BiH.
Cooperation between the prosecutor’s offices of the two countries in detection and prosecution of war crimes cases was discussed at the meeting as well as activities on search and identification of missing persons.
In the past few years prosecutors from BiH and Montenegro have exchanged requests for mutual assistance in cases that are being prosecuted in BiH and Montenegro. UNDP project is focused on continuance of successful regional cooperation.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
