THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH ISSUED AN INDICTMENT FOR ILLICIT TRADE OF MEDICINAL PRODUCTS AND MEDICAL DEVICES
12.01.2018. 15:41The accused is charged with having, in the second half of January 2015, without the permission of the Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices of Bosnia and Herzegovina, bought medicinal products and medical devices in Serbia, the possession and trade of which requires specific permission of the competent institutions.
Officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency of BiH have, during the search of the vehicle performed on 21 January 2015 in Ugljevik, found and seized a large amount of medicinal products and medical devices intended for further sale.
The accused Simo Mitrović is charged with having bought and sold goods without the permission prescribed by the law of Bosnia and Herzegovina required as the trade of such goods is prohibited or restricted, thereby committing the criminal offense of Illicit Trade referred to in Article 212 (1) of the CC BiH.
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
