INDICTMENT ISSUED FOR WAR CRIMES COMMITTED IN KLJUČ AREA
03.01.2018. 15:50- Zoran (Ostoja) Adamović, born in 1963 in Ključ, a citizen of the Republic of Serbia.
The accused is charged with having acted contrary to the provisions of International Humanitarian Law and Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War, during the war and armed conflict in BiH, within a widespread and systematic attack by the military, the police and paramilitary units directed against the Bosniak population in the Ključ area and its surrounding, while acting in his capacity as a member of the RS Army in the Ključ area.
The indictment alleges that the accused, together with other members of the RS Army, participated in the murder of four Bosniak civilians in Gornji Kamičak in the summer of 1992, also in the forcible disappearance of a Bosniak civilian in Krasulje, as well as in the unlawful imprisonment, abuse and wounding of one person from a group of Bosniak civilians in Donji Kamičak.
The accused is charged with having committed the criminal offense of Crimes against Humanity under Article 172 of the CC BiH.
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
