BIH PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE ISSUES AN INDICTMENT AGAINST NIKOLA ĐORĐIĆ (1992) FOR ILLICIT TRADE IN MEDICINAL PRODUCTS AND MEDICAMENTS

This accused person is charged with purchasing from a person known to him and then selling medicinal products and medicaments, the distribution of which requires appropriate approvals by authorized institutions, in the period from August of 2014 to 21 January 2015, in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, without the permission of the Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is in violation of Article 29 of the Medicinal Products and Medical Devices Act (‘Official Gazette of Bosnia and Herzegovina’, issue no. 58/08).
According to the allegations in the Indictment, this accused person sold a certain quantity of medicaments in the course of the investigation, for the sum of BAM 960.
During the search of the vehicle used by this accused person, a larger quantity of medicinal products and medicaments, intended for further sale, was found.
The accused Nikola Đorđić is charged with illicit buying and selling the goods the distribution of which is forbidden or limited by the regulations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, whereby he committed the criminal offence of Illicit Trade, as referred to in Article 212, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, all that through the application of Article 54 of the same Code.
The Indictment has been forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
