INDICTMENT ISSUED FOR ILLICIT TRAFFICKING IN NARCOTIC DRUGS
20.11.2017. 15:52- MIRZA MUJKANOVIĆ (1995) and ELDIN MUJKANOVIĆ (1998), from Tuzla, citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
These accused persons are charged with unauthorized international transfer and transport of the Cannabis narcotic drug from the Republic of Montenegro to Bosnia and Herzegovina, on 5 June 2017, after the previous agreement with persons known to them and with the intention of its further sale.
According to the allegations in the Indictment, the aforementioned drug in the amount of 4 kilograms and 974 grams, which was packed in six packages wrapped with PVC film and concealed in hidden places of the Volkswagen Golf 2 passenger’s vehicle with the registration plates of Bosnia and Herzegovina, was discovered during the inspection and a detailed search of the vehicle performed by the authorized officers of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina, respectively, at the Hum International Border Crossing, at the entry to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
These accused persons are charged with the commission of the criminal offence of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs, as referred to in Article 195, Paragraph 1, in conjunction with Article 29 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Indictment has been forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
