02.11.2017. 14:55
After the questioning of these suspects, a motion will be put forward with the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina today, seeking the measure of custody to be ordered in regard to two suspects.
  • CUSTODY TO BE PROPOSED AGAINST SUSPECTS DEPRIVED OF LIBERTY IN ACTION CODENAMED ‘BOND’

Custody will be proposed in relation to the suspects Adnan Aličić from Ključ and Darko Vuković from Banjaluka.

The aforementioned suspects were deprived of liberty in an action carried out upon the order of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which pertains to the prosecution of persons suspected of the criminal offence of Organized Crime in conjunction with the criminal offences of Smuggling and Illicit Trade in Excise Products.

Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) conducted an action in a wider region of Ključ, Cazin, Zenica and Banjaluka, in which the aforementioned suspects were deprived of liberty.

Along with these deprivations of liberty, searches of four facilities used by these suspects were also carried out.

Persons who are subject to this investigation are suspected of procuring cigarettes of a well-known brand and of a higher market value in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, for a longer period of time in the course of 2017, and of smuggling those cigarettes and selling them in the territories of the Republic of Slovenia and Switzerland

In the course of investigation, search and deprivation of liberty, a larger quantity of cigarettes, evidentiary material and other items was seized, which may serve as evidence in further proceedings.

The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina continues with its intensive investigation in this case.
