According to the available information and evidence, the found mortal remains belong to persons of Bosniak ethnicity, who were killed in 1992.

The found mortal remains have been transported to the Commemorative Centre in Tuzla, where further forensic processing will be done and bone samples will be taken for the DNA analysis in order to determine the victims’ identities and the cause of their death.

The exhumation process at this site was coordinated by an authorized Investigator of the Special Department for War Crimes of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, under the supervision of the Prosecutor in charge of the case, whereas the process of search for and exhumation of the mortal remains was carried out with the participation of the officers of the BiH Institute for Missing Persons, an expert forensic pathologist, necessary workers and mechanization, as well as with the involvement of police officers from the Police Station in Vlasenica, who were securing the site and conducting the criminal investigation of evidence and the crime scene.

The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, along with the institutions involved in the process of searching for the missing persons in Bosnia and Herzegovina, continues with its activities of exhuming and searching for the missing persons in all parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
