INDICTMENT ISSUED FOR SMUGGLING OF PERSONS
13.06.2017. 09:41- SENAD AMIDŽIĆ (1973) and ARMIN AMIDŽIĆ (1992), from Priboj, citizens of the Republic of Serbia, who are currently remanded in custody.
These accused persons are charged with enabling illegal transport of five persons from Priboj to Ustiprača, on 15 May 2017, for the purpose of acquiring unlawful property gain.
According to the allegations in the Indictment, these accused persons transported the smuggled persons, citizens of the Republic of Serbia from the territory of Kosovo, all with the aim of acquiring material gain by illegally transporting foreign citizens for a financial reward.
The aforementioned accused persons are charged with the commission of the criminal offense of Smuggling of Persons, as referred to in Article 189, paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Indictment has been forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
