EXHUMATION OF A VICTIM FROM THE PAST WAR COMPLETED IN KISELJAK MUNICIPALITY
27.03.2017. 15:43Incomplete mortal remains were found, and the identity of the victim whose mortal remains were found will be determined in a subsequent process.
A Legal Officer of the Special Department for War Crimes at the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina was supervising and coordinating the exhumation process. The exhumation process was conducted with the participation of the officers of the BiH Institute for Missing Persons, an expert forensic pathologist and police officers of the Ministry of the Interior of the Central Bosnia Canton, and necessary workers and adequate mechanization were employed.
The mortal remains will be transported to the dissecting room of the City Cemeteries of Visoko, for further forensic processing and identification.
The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, along with the institutions involved in the process of tracing and identifying missing persons, continues with its intensive activities aimed at finding missing persons in all parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
