ACTING CHIEF PROSECUTOR MET WITH OFFICIALS OF JUDICIAL INSTITUTIONS OF THE REPUBLIC OF FRANCE
13.03.2017. 15:10Acting Chief Prosecutor met with officials of the judicial institutions of the Republic of France, led by the Head of the Department for Cooperation of the Ministry of Justice of France, Benjamin Danlos.
Joint cooperation in the framework of implementation of the IPA project, which would include engagement of a former prosecutor from France to assist the colleagues in BiH in the upcoming process of European integration, was discussed at the meeting.
It was concluded that it is necessary to include HJPC BiH in the entire project as to draft a memorandum or agreement on cooperation, that would enable such a cooperation as well as that the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH is ready and open for cooperation.
Prosecutors and staff of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH have, together with colleagues from France, taken part in several joint international operations to combat organized crime, human trafficking and illicit trafficking in arms and dual-use products, which were successfully implemented in the previous period.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
