INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST TWO PERSONS FOR SMUGGLING
13.01.2017. 15:57- Igor Perić, born in 1981 in Tuzla, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and
- Goran Đorđić, born in 1997 in Bijeljina, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The accused persons are charged with having, on 19 April 2016 in the town of Bijeljina, with the aim to gain unlawful property gain, transported goods i.e. various clothing items of greater value across the Drina river from the territory of the Republic of Serbia on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina outside the border crossing thus evading the customs control.
The accused persons loaded the above-mentioned smuggled goods into the motor vehicle with the intention of transporting it to Bosnia and Herzegovina via the local road towards town but they were prevented by police officers of the RS MoI who seized their goods.
Subsequent evaluation of goods performed by the Indirect Taxation Authority established that the goods are worth BAM 16,118.42.
The accused persons are charged with the criminal offense of Smuggling of Goods under Article 214 (1) of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina in conjunction with Article 29 of the same Code.
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
