Prosecutor of the Special Department for War Crimes Prosecutor’s Office issued an indictment against:

1. Đuro Matuzović, born in 1952 in Orašje, citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia,

2. Ivo Oršolić, born in 1952 in Orašje, citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia,

3. Tado Oršolić, born in 1960 in Orašje, citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia,

4. Marko Dominković, born in 1962 in Orašje, citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia,

5. Joso Nedić, born in 1956 in Orašje, citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia,

6. Marko Blažanović, born in 1955 in Šamac, citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia,

7. Mato Živković, born in 1964 in Orašje, citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia,

8. Anto Živković, born on 17.01.1969 in Orašje, citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia and

9. Stjepo Đurić, born on 01.06.1965 in Orašje, citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia.

The listed persons are charged that in the period from the second half of April 1992 to July 1993, during an international armed conflict that also took part in the general area of Orašje, they, as members of HVO structures in Orašje, Military Police and police structures and as guards at camps and detention centres, Secondary School Centre in Orašje and Primary School “Donja Mahala”, committed war crimes against a larger number of victims of Serbian ethnicity from Orašje and surrounding areas.

The accused are charged that during the performance of duties falling within their powers took part in the persecution of the Serbian population from the area of Orašje on national, ethnic, cultural and religious grounds, as well as serious violations of international humanitarian law, and that they thus committed the criminal offense of Crimes against Humanity under Article 172 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In this case the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina Prosecution will prove the defendants’ guilt by summoning about 142 witnesses and expert witnesses, and by filing voluminous material evidence.

The indictment was forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation.
