The listed accused persons are charged that during a widespread and systematic attack by the military, police and paramilitary formations directed against the civilian population of Bosniak and Croatian ethnicity in the area of Prijedor and surrounding area committed crimes against humanity under Article 172 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

They are charged that in late July 1992 they, as members of the Crisis Staff, the military and police took part in the unlawful detention of about 120 men in the area of Miska Glava, including underage persons, who were then taken into captivity in the Cultural Centre. Eleven victims were taken out of that building and killed while the others were taken to the nearby stadium where they were tortured and ill-treated before being taken to Ljubija where they were killed by firearms.

Only a few victims managed to survive the execution and their testimonies were crucial for shedding light on this crime.

After the war, the killed victims were found and exhumed from mass graves at Redak I and Redak II sites and eleven bodies were found at Hozića Kamen site in 2016.

The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina will prove the prosecution allegations by summoning about 80 witnesses and attaching about 300 pieces of evidence.

The indictment was forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
