INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST 3 PERSONS FOR WAR CRIMES
29.12.2016. 15:12A Prosecutor of the Special Department for War Crimes issued an indictment against the following persons:
- Safet Isaković aka Džidžo, born in 1973
- Ibrahim Đulić aka Linđo, born in 1968
- Nisvet Porić, born in 1972
The accused are charged with having acted contrary to the provisions of the Geneva Convention relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War and the protection of the wounded and the sick, during the war and armed conflict in BiH while acting in their capacities as Commander (Isaković) and members of the Reconnaissance and Sabotage Platoon Gazije within the 5th Corps of the Army of R Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The accused persons are charged with having personally and directly fired shots killing three RS Army members, one of whom was wounded, in July 1995 on the site of Ćorkovača hill in the municipality of Bosanska Krupa.
The accused are charged with the criminal offense of War Crimes against Prisoners of War under Article 175 of the CC BiH.
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
