ACTING CHIEF PROSECUTOR MET WITH DEPUTY MINISTER OF SECURITY OF BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA
09.12.2016. 15:17Acting Chief Prosecutor informed the Deputy Minister about the performance and results of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, as well as activities related to improvements in the work of the prosecution that have been undertaken since assuming office.
The meeting participants exchanged their views on the ongoing activities, the circumstances in which the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH operates, as well as cooperation with partner law enforcement and security agencies.
"I believe that the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, just like any public institution, should be open to dialogue with other authorities with the aim of improving work efficiency and strengthening the institute of the rule of law for the benefit of all people in BiH. The fact that individuals outside the judicial system insist on certain specific cases may indicate that they are personally interested in them"- stated Deputy Minister Krešić.
Acting Chief Prosecutor - Gordana Tadić stated that the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina is an institution that belongs to all citizens of our country and that in the coming period it will work intensively on the prosecution of all criminal offenses under its jurisdiction.
Meeting participants welcomed the activities undertaken to strengthen cooperation of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH with partner police and security institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and their efforts on joint activities for the future.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
