BIH PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE IDENTIFIED THE 4TH MEMBER OF RCP "GAZIJE" SUSPECTED OF WAR CRIMES COMMITTED AGAINST PRISONERS OF WAR

During the course of the investigation in the case concerning the criminal offense of War Crimes Against Prisoners of War committed against the members of the RS Army from the area of Bosanska Krupa, the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH identified the fourth suspected member of the Reconnaissance and Sabotage Platoon "Gazije" of the 505th Brigade within the 5th Corps of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Assigned Prosecutor questioned the suspect Samir Mamić (1975), suspected of having committed the criminal offense of War Crimes Against Prisoners of War and War Crimes Against the Wounded and Sick in the wider area of Ćorkovača hill - municipality of Bosanska Krupa in July 1995, together with other suspected members of the RSP "Gazije" who were previously detained, by way of capturing and then personally killing three RS Army soldiers, one of whom was wounded.

The suspect Mamić is under investigation for having personally, fired at and killed a wounded member of the RS Army.

Following the questioning of the suspect in presence of his counsel, the Prosecutor filed a motion to the Court of BiH to order prohibiting measures, which will inter alia include a ban on leaving the place of residence, ban on travel outside BiH and a ban on meeting with witnesses and suspects in the case.
